The Nintendo 3DS is a handheld video game console released by Nintendo in February 2011. It is abbreviated as "3DS. It was released as the successor to the Nintendo DS. It is backward compatible with the Nintendo DS. It retains the two-screen configuration, touch screen, Wi-Fi, and other features of the Nintendo DS, but has an enlarged screen size, stereoscopic capabilities, and improved processing performance.
