・About |
The GameCube is a home video game console released by Nintendo in September 2001, abbreviated as "GC". It was released as the successor to the Nintendo 64, and is not backward compatible with the Nintendo 64. Nintendo's first use of optical discs greatly improved the maximum data capacity of game software to 1.5 GB. The GameCube's competitor was the PlayStation 2, but as with the NINTENDO 64, it fell far short in terms of both units sold and number of titles.

In the 2000s, several emulators were developed, but as of 2023, Dolphin is the only one in the market.
It has been continuously improved over the past 20 years since its initial development and is very good in both functionality and accuracy. It can be played comfortably even on a integrated graphics.
