・About |
The Xbox is a home video game console released by Microsoft in February 2002. It was Microsoft's first entry into the market for a dedicated game console. The PlayStation 2 and GameCube were the competitors launched in the same decade, but it came in second to the PlayStation 2 in terms of units sold.

Development of Cxbx has been halted and a fork called Cxbx Reloaded is under development. Cxbx Reloaded has 16% of games playable without problems as of 2023, and 49% of games are playable, albeit with some problems. Continuous improvements are being made, and the number of games it can run is increasing rapidly. You can increase the "Render Resolution" in the Video settings to get a higher quality image. Although it is inferior to xemu in the number of games it can run, this one does not require the preparation of individual files.

As of 2023, 3% of games are playable without problems and 78% are playable, albeit with some problems. By increasing the "Internal resolution scale" in the Display settings, you can play with higher image quality. State save/load is possible, but it is a command-entry operation. See here for instructions. Three separate items are required to boot the game: "MCPX boot ROM image", "BIOS", and "HDD image", all of which are copyright-free. You can download "MCPX Boot ROM Image" here, "BIOS" here, and "HDD Image" here.
