NES Overview
The NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) is a home video game console released by Nintendo in July 1983. In some regions, it was released under the name Family Computer (Famicom). Because of its low processing performance, 3D displays were not possible, and the resolution and number of simultaneous colors were low, many relatively simple games were released. As for video game software, many masterpieces were produced, including Super Mario Brothers, Dragon Quest, and Final Fantasy, which have been carried over to the latest video game consoles. In November 2016, Nintendo released the "Nintendo Classic Mini" series of palm-sized NESs.
