PS Vita Overview
The PS Vita is a handheld video game console released by Sony in December 2011 as a successor to the PSP, and is backward compatible with the PSP.
It looks very similar to the PSP, but the screen size has increased from 4.3 to 5 inches and the resolution has quadrupled.
Competition from the Nintendo 3DS and smartphones, as well as a lack of leading game software, resulted in hardware sales that were much lower than those of the PSP. no successor to the PS Vita has been released in over 10 years.
